RETURN / REFUND POLICY:

All products purchased directly from Sargent Cycle Products are entitled to a 30-day money back guarantee. Non-refundable costs include any customization - as specified by the customer - to a standard product offering, specified restocking fees, and outbound and return shipping and handling.  Also exempt from this money-back guarantee are any services performed through our Custom Seat Services Division. All items returned for refund need to be accompanied by a copy of the invoice and will be processed as quickly as possible.  The refund will be made via the original method of payment.  Please allow a few days for credit card companies to post to your account

Customers wishing a refund on a purchase from a retail seller other than Sargent Cycle Products must refer to that seller's refund policy.

While we have a very thorough quality check program, sometimes an item may arrive defective, damaged or incorrect.  In these cases, customers have two choices:
1.  Send the item back for repair or replacement.
2.  Order and pay for a replacement item, then return the defective item for a refund.

Sargent Cycle Products reserves the right to refuse free repair or replacement on products that have been damaged by shipping services or improper installation / use.  If an item arrives damaged by shipping, it is important to retain the original packaging and notify Sargent Cycle Products so a claim may be filed.

CUSTOM SEAT SERVICES LIMITED WARRANTY:

We warranty all of our upholstery and foam products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase.   We will gladly and promptly correct any problems that occur within this time period (return freight is the sole responsibility of the customer).  Incidental or consequential damages arising from or in connection with the installation of a seat modified by Sargent Cycle Products are not covered by this warranty.

MINIMUM ADVERTISED PRICE POLICY (Effective January 1, 2006):

In order to preserve our strong reputation for providing customers with high value products and good after sales support, Manufacturer implements the following policy:

a) The Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) shall be defined as a price which reflects a discount of 10% off of Manufacturers current published List Price.  MAP pricing is established by Manufacturer and may be adjusted from time to time by Manufacturer at its sole discretion and is available upon request.

b) Prices for all of Manufacturer’s products may not be advertised for any amount less than MAP (discounted more than 10%) in any and all media including, but not limited to flyers, posters, coupons, mailers, inserts, magazines, catalogs, email news letters, email solicitations, internet websites, television, radio and public signage. MAP policy does not apply to any in-store advertising that is displayed only in the store and not distributed to any customer.

c) MAP applies only to advertised prices and does not apply to the price at which the products are actually sold or offered for sale to an individual consumer within the dealer’s retail location or over telephone or private email.

d) MAP does not establish a maximum advertised price. Dealers may offer Manufacturer’s products in excess of the MAP.

e) If pricing is displayed, any strike-through or other alteration of the MAP is prohibited. This policy does not restrict Dealer from using such terms as they "have the lowest prices," or "will beat any competitors price," that consumers should "call for price" and similar superlative statements, as long as the advertised price is not less than MAP.

f) Prices lower than MAP may not be displayed in the shopping cart feature of any Dealer website. Placing an item in a website shopping cart is not a final sale, nor is it private communication, and is considered advertising. Dealers are free to make sales at prices below MAP, but they may quote lower prices only in response to an in-person, telephone, or email inquiry from a customer

g) Posting of prices below MAP in any online forum or chat room is not permitted.

SALES VENUE POLICY (Effective January 1, 2006):

Sales via electronic (Internet) commerce are not permitted except by Dealer’s proprietary website. No sales, auctions, or solicitations to sell at a specific price in third-party electronic venues including, but not limited to, EBay, overstock.com, message boards, forums, or any other website other than the Dealer’s own proprietary website are allowed, without specific written authorization from Sargent Cycle Products ("Manufacturer"). Permitted non-electronic venues are limited to the Dealer’s licensed physical place of business. Off-site sales or displays at sanctioned motorcycle events or motorcycle rallies are also permitted, provided that such sales or displays are authorized by the event sponsor, coordinator or sanctioning body, and comply with all local laws and regulations. Products are not permitted to be displayed, sold, or represented in such a way, electronic or otherwise, as determined by the sole discretion of Manufacturer, which could potentially erode the value of the brand. Manufacturer reserves the right to approve, limit, or restrict any and all sales, informational, and display venues and methods in order to maintain the long term equity of the brand.

PRE-REGISTRATION PROGRAM:

During the Research and Development process for new products such as World Sport Performance Seats and the Sargent Super Bag, Sargent Cycle Products collects information from customers who express an interest in a particular item. This information is given voluntarily by the prospective customers and is not shared or distributed in any way. When the item is ready for release, these prospective customers are notified and are offered a special discount for having expressed an interest during the early R&D stages. Only pre-registered customers can enjoy this discount and must claim it during a fixed period of time, usually two or three months after the release date of a new product. In order to protect the integrity of this program, and the customers who participate in it, these products will be made available to dealers only after the program has expired.
